It’s Saturday mid-afternoon and while we write about our game plan for this Spring and Summer, we sip our new season concoction drink[Iced, unsweetened, lemon and turmeric water] and hear the energy of the rain outside that killed our first trip to the farmer’s market, but it’s all good! We shall try again tomorrow. What else does Spring showers bring? Exhilarating sense of renewal vibes! A new sunshine to our lives that allows us to connect with nature in many different ways. We definitely don’t want to waste a season, so, we looked deep within and asked ourselves what would be fulfilling, meaningful and reflective from the inward to the outward of ourselves? We came up with one word: Liberation! This is how we plan to spend our Spring/Summer aside the festivals, fasting, farmer’s market, camping trips and a good book by a beach nearby of course.HELPING BEHIND OVERSIZED ROUND SPECSThe entire fashion world is buzzing about the 1970’s and through coincidence to our personal liking [do follow what you feel connected to] we feel connected to this time zone not just because its demure looks, but because it was a time of liberation including women rights–just so you don’t get confused on our personal approach, we are talking about equal rights and not the ones where we raise ourselves and put men down[contradictory], which inspires us to contribute our time to a women oriented organization this Spring/Summer.
SANDAL MODE Free the toes!–now that should be a hashtag this Summer. Maybe it will be somehow. Aside a good exfoliating and replenishing pedicure, we’re also thinking of course eco-friendly nail polish color in exciting hues. There are a gazillion of shoe options for Spring and Summer to choose from, please don’t end up in flip-flops! In our end we’re feeling the lace-ups–short version, thank you. EMOTIONALLY FREE
What’s a Spring and Summer without a deep cleaning–especially our hearts? Yes to brushing off stagnated feelings, letting by-gones be truly by-gones, focusing on making the inner self strong through spirituality, good deeds, listening more and speaking less. We’re not sure at what age do we, humans, become complicated beings to ourselves and others, but some things are reversible–the process is called forgiveness. Sure, not an easy process, but some of us spend so many years and alot more energy on retaining certain feelings vs. creating positive ones. Just a thought! We say start letting go and start creating good vibe memories.
LONGER MORNING AND EVENING RITUALS With longer days, comes more things to do. Nah! This Spring and Summer, we don’t want to push it. Instead, we want to really apply the lesson of ‘letting things take their course” of course between our morning and evening rituals of self care. The reality is that we live in such a fast-paced life where we want more and do more and as complex as it may sound somehow forget about the inner self. So, we propose morning and evening rituals that will create longer, silent, meditative and spiritual moments. For us, we aim it to go something like this: wake up[not reach for our phone] pray, take a full meditative minutes to be grateful and thankful, work-out while sipping our new Spring/Summer water concoction[stated above], reads some news, review our day goals and move on with our day in our matcha coconut milk shake. In our evenings, we’re aiming for an unwinding period, phones off two hours prior bed, set next days goals, pray, mediate on again being grateful and thankful for the goods and bads of our day and do a pair of relaxing yoga poses ending our day on our lavender oil scented pillow. FLARE, RAW, FLOWY, LIGHT AND FLORAL
So classic for Spring and Summer, right? We don’t care! What we care about is doing what is right for us. So, call us old-fashioned, classic, but just don’t call us late for dinner. If you haven’t yet noticed, raw edges on clothing are in the spotlight right now. Having said that, have you seen the natural fiber raw edges abayas[overgarment] from Dubai based brand Darya by Alia?–perfect for hot weather! We’re in search of garments that fit the description in the format of vintage caftans preferably and/or flowy hemlines, natural fiber abayas, natural fiber tunic dresses, with no frills, no embroidery[ok, maybe some], no bling, just a good decorative print if any–clothing that can move with us and we can repeat in different scenarios for our nomad soul. In the pants department, we want flares, the wider the better!
WITH LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE
Ok, this one took almost a quarter of a life-time to learn, but the most important thing is we got it! Extending from our ‘liberated’ mode, we have learned that we’re not meant to connect with everyone even within the most tight tribes. Again, so much wasted energy and time go to things as to please others who are in nicer terms are at a different level of thinking and life experience. So, this Spring and Summer we want to spend it with the people that get us, help us grow and have a good time with in this journey of life. Don’t be surprise if it is only a handful. “A journey is best measured in friends not miles” – Tim Cahill BARELY THERE MAKEUP
If you have stuck around this site for a while, you would know we like our face as natural as possible and leave the drama for after hours ordeals sometimes. This Spring and Summer we’re definitely feeling and doing the ‘all natural’ face look with a good suncreen layer and dab of color be that on the lips or eyes.
HEAD STATEMENTS
‘Tis the season to make head statements[well, for some of us when is it not, right?] in flower crowns, scarves, jewelry, hair do’s and hats. We’re definitely feeling scarves, but also a dash of a ’70’s twist hair do, but not Marsha’s mom, more like Farrah Fawcett type and/or Diana Ross.
JEWELRY MADE TO MEASURE
Our mind is between jewelry artists: Margherita and Eva Fehren. There is something about mixing elements that is exciting! We’re going the other end this Summer/Spring and toning down from stacking our jewelry to keeping it clean and simple–a demure calling attention.

For me spring/summer style is about short skirts, dresses, flip-flops, t-strap sandals, wedge sandals, high heel sandals and booty shorts. Opps I forgot about the sexy blouses too. Can’t forget about the mani/pedi too.
Woow!!! really good collections of the Spring and Summer Game Plans,
